Marqués de Cáceres White Blend Rioja Blanco 2010

Winemaker's Notes:

Marqués de Cáceres White is made from 100% Viura grapes. The wine is bottled young to maintain its crisp, clean, fruity dryness. The Viura grapes give good acidity and a pale color to the wine.

Bodegas Marques de Caceres:
The name of this wine. Marques de Caceres was lent by D. Vicente Noguera y Espinosa de los Monteros. Today, he has been succeeded by his son D. Juan Noguera Merle, a worthy representative of the Marquisate which was granted in the XVIII century to his ancestor Juan Ambrosio Garcia de Caceres y Montemayor, a Captain of the Royal Armada for war merits.

Golden straw bright, fresh aromas of citrus, pear and mineral; palate notes of creamy citrus, crisp white fruits and lanolin riding bright, almost sweet tones across a moderate finish.

Ripe peach and melon aromas are complemented by notes of floral honey and clove. Juicy, gently sweet orchard and pit fruit flavors are braced by a dusty mineral quality and pick up a note of smoky herbs with air.

Intense ruby color. Expressive bouquet with notes of raspberries, bilberries and cherries, enlivened by a touch of spice and a depth of vanilla. Charming fruit in the mouth with good structure that highlights concentrated flavors and fleshy tannins. Nice complexity on the tasting resulting in good length. This Crianza is made from our best cuvees from the 2008 vintage and conserves in full the character derived from top quality grapes. This focused red is subtle but harmonious, with well-integrated flavors of black cherry, toast, herbs and spice layered over fine tannins. Crisp and fresh. Drink now through 2014. 90,000 cases imported. - Winery

This, rich full-bodied wine is made only in excellent vintages from hand-picked Tempranillo, Garnacha and Graciano grapes grown in Rioja Alta. Aged in French and American oak casks, Marques de Caceras Red Crianza has spicy aromas, berry fruit flavors and a velvety finish. Open preferably one hour before serving with hearty dishes, roasts, grilled meats or tapas.
