Marqués de Cáceres White Blend Rioja Blanco 2009
Bright pale straw color with metallic highlights. On the nose, very fresh notes of grapefruit and pears come through with a depth of minerals, resulting in a pleasant complexity. Good structure in the mouth with fleshy fruit sensations highlighted by a refreshing acidity that awakens the tastebuds. Good length with a trace of bitterness on the finish and long-lasting flavors. This wine’s surprising freshness and delicious fruit are the result of a very careful selection of Viura grapes.
The name of this wine. Marques de Caceres was lent by D. Vicente Noguera y Espinosa de los Monteros. Today, he has been succeeded by his son D. Juan Noguera Merle, a worthy representative of the Marquisate which was granted in the XVIII century to his ancestor Juan Ambrosio Garcia de Caceres y Montemayor, a Captain of the Royal Armada for war merits.
Clear pale yellow. Litght fruity nose. Very light on the palate, some fruit--kiwi, apple--slight acid. Very refreshing. US$5.99
