Marqués de Cáceres White Blend Rioja Blanco 2005

Winemaker's Notes:

Attractive, bright ruby red colour. Refined bouquet of black cherries and blackberries with a soft touch of aromatic Mediterranean herbs. Lusciously fresh and fruity in the mouth where rich fruit (cherries, strawberries, raspberries) and notes of cinnamon mingle to give a pleasant fullness with a backbone of silky-smooth tannins. Long-lasting, unctuous finish. A splendid vintage that is velvety-soft and elegant. A perfect accompaniment to Mediterranean cuisine, fried food, grilled vegetables, pulses, paella and other rice dishes, pasta, fish in tomato sauce, ham, chorizo, pte, beef (roast, stewed, or grilled) and cheese (mild or medium matured). Serve at: 16-18 degrees C.

Cedar and patchouli nose, "bright" fresh fruit/grape flavors balance acidity well, finishing with cranberry and low-medium tannins. Great with grilled/salty meats, Italian/tomato-based foods also.

Medium bodied, not too heavy, with a smooth clean flavor. Fresh and light on the nose. Absolutely lovely.

Love this wine; goes great with pasta and spicy sausage. Buy it by the case!

Fun aromas of beef bouillon and dark fruit - still a little heat too despite the age. The juicy palate is mostly full of ripe blackberries, but there's a hint of cocoa and some baking spice. Finishes sharp with a bit of menthol.

red berry fruit with some dark cocoa notes, concentrated fruit flavors with some stewed strawberries and seeping tea; nice complexity.

This, rich full-bodied wine is made only in excellent vintages from hand-picked Tempranillo, Garnacha and Graciano grapes grown in Rioja Alta. Aged in French and American oak casks, Marques de Caceras Red Crianza has spicy aromas, berry fruit flavors and a velvety finish. Open preferably one hour before serving with hearty dishes, roasts, grilled meats or tapas.

This harmonious white offers ripe melon flavors enlivened with notes of lemon and lime and framed with vanilla from oak. It's clean and fresh, and has enough body for food.

Saturated and dark, with prune, dried cheese and leather on the nose. The body is full and offers good tannins to prop up chewy, baked flavors of blackberry, dark plum and chocolate. Very nice, easygoing and ready to drink now. Wine Enthusiast. A Tempranillo wine from Rioja in Spain. 2005 Marques de Caceres Rioja Reserva 750ml
