This soft, peppery red has flavors of cola and sassafras, a dry wine for morcilla and white beans.
Medium red. Subtle aromas of dried strawberry, underbrush, licorice and minerals. Supple on the palate, with a light, elegant texture and tangy red berry and cherry flavor. Finishes taut and brisk, with gentle tannins and lingering notes of licorice and tobacco.
Black cherry, tobacco and licorice flavors mingle in this firm red. The tannins are a bit obtrusive, but should balance with food. A solid wine with good typicity. Drink now through 2009.

Medium red. Aromatic nose of cherry, plum, leather and tobacco; more wild than modern. Then supple and juicy, with nicely dry flavors of raspberry, red cherry, baking spices and pepper. Brick, sappy Rioja, finishing with firm tannins and lingering, clean flavors.
This full-bodied red is only made in good vintages in the Rioja Alta region of Spain. The hand-picked grapes of Tempranillo, Mazuelo and Graciano are blended and aged in both French and American oak, giving this wine zesty aromas, berry fruit flavors and a long, smooth finish. Give this wine a chance to breathe before drinking with hearty meats.
Dried red fruit, pepper and mint on the nose, and clove, vanilla and raspberry on the palate. It tails away in tight, dry form, yet itrsquo;s largely an open, steady and satisfying wine. Even if it doesnrsquo;t pump up and thump its chest, it still scores points for its friendliness.
