Marqués de Cáceres Tempranillo Blend Rioja Crianza 2008
Intense, ruby red colour. Expressive bouquet with notes of raspberries, bilberries and cherries, enlivened by a touch of spice and a depth of vanilla. Charming fruit in the mouth with good structure that highlights concentrated flavours and fleshy tannins. Nice complexity on tasting resulting in good length. This Crianza is made from our best "cuvées" from the 2008 vintage and conserves in full the character derived from top quality grapes.
The name of this wine. Marques de Caceres was lent by D. Vicente Noguera y Espinosa de los Monteros. Today, he has been succeeded by his son D. Juan Noguera Merle, a worthy representative of the Marquisate which was granted in the XVIII century to his ancestor Juan Ambrosio Garcia de Caceres y Montemayor, a Captain of the Royal Armada for war merits.
Love this wine... To me it is a perfect Rioja...heavy on berries and tannins with a hint of oak and absolutely zero sharpness... It also has a raspberry and coffee finish.. Really just gorgeous!
Tempranillo grape, with a wide range of aromas detectable wines give it a charm in and of itself, with tasting ranging from strawberries, blackcurrants and cherries, to prunes, chocolate and tobacco
Ages well deep ruby red, excellent accompanyment to beef.

This focused red is subtle but harmonious, with well-integrated flavors of black cherry, toast, herbs and spice layered over fine tannins. Crisp and fresh. Drink now through 2014.
Marques de Caceres Rioja Crianza is wonderful expression of this region, plenty of pretty red fruits and warm nutmeg spice rounded out by notes of sweet cigar and vanilla shortbread.
Fragrant with violets and black cherry fruit, this takes time to move beyond its clean lines toward something more emphatically earthy. Air brings a stoniness to the structure, while the wine seems blacker, with the assertive precision of a flamenco dancer’s heel.
This, rich full-bodied wine is made only in excellent vintages from hand-picked Tempranillo, Garnacha and Graciano grapes grown in Rioja Alta. Aged in French and American oak casks, Marques de Caceras Red Crianza has spicy aromas, berry fruit flavors and a velvety finish. Open preferably one hour before serving with hearty dishes, roasts, grilled meats or tapas.
