Marqués de Cáceres Rosé Blend Rioja Rosado 2006

Member Review by danidragonfly:

I'm not a huge fan of rosés, but this is an exception. Light, crisp, with a hint of watermelon rind.

Bodegas Marques de Caceres:
The name of this wine. Marques de Caceres was lent by D. Vicente Noguera y Espinosa de los Monteros. Today, he has been succeeded by his son D. Juan Noguera Merle, a worthy representative of the Marquisate which was granted in the XVIII century to his ancestor Juan Ambrosio Garcia de Caceres y Montemayor, a Captain of the Royal Armada for war merits.

Orange-pink. Dried red berry aromas are brightened by orange zest and anise. Crisp, dry and focused, with bright redcurrant and more tangy cranberry flavors. Finishes on a grown-up, dry note, with very good length. Stephen Tanzer's IWC. A Tempranillo wine from Rioja in Spain. 2006 Marques de Caceres Rioja Rosado (Rose) 750ml
