Cherry dominated nose and very herby with a slight whiff of cinnamon. Very light tasting and easy to drink but still had a good amount of spice at the end. slightly sour taste but in a good way

Michael Lillis Opened 8/4/09 The last bottle of 1986 gran reserva martques de caceres, it is now 23 years old and has mellowed. Showing age on the rim of the wine. The over powering flavour and perfume of oak that once dominated this wine, has faded. Still showing ripe fruit on nose supported by earthy wood and good tannins on a lingering finish. I wish I had more

Have just opened and drank 30/4/09 1996 CABERNET FRANC Chateau Xanadu Margaret River Clear, bright colour no singe of age Restrained earthy fruit on nose creamy finish 24 Hours later Very tight wine well put together Vibrant fruit now showing through, still quite young and fresh Finishing with a creamy texture and pleasing fruit acid The wine is 13 years old and shows no great sine of age I would liked to have given the wine a further 24 hours to open and see what more it had to show, but I drank it all

DOMAINE BILLAUD-SIMON CHABLIS GRAND CRU VAUDESIR 2002 Opened THUR 21/05/09 On nose hints of green melon In the mouth, ripe round fruit with loads of lemon, a robust full-bodied wine that is drying on the finish with a length that goes on forever. This is a drinking pleasure, I would LOVE to say there are flavors of white stone and exotic spice, NO! This is just one big full, round lemony Chardonnay and I mean a big mouth full of wine. One of the biggest & fullest Chablis I have ever drunk and it’s very, very good. GOD only knows how long this wine will live, but I expect to get a further 5+ years from this wine as it is just reaching a drinkable point now and should hold for some time to come.
