Marques de Caceres Reserva Rioja 2008
Attractive color, somewhere between garnet red and black, conforming good structure. Intense, very fragrant bouquet, changing from blackberries and blackcurrants with a depth of raspberry to soft spice that confers richness. Very elegant on tasting with delicious fruit flavours, seasoned by rounded, lively tannins. Pleasant fullness on the palate with nice vivacity and good length. An enjoyable wine to keep in mind.

Smooth berry aromas have a vanilla leaning due to ample oak. The mouthfeel is fresh and a touch clipped and choppy, while flavors of vanilla and wood accent traditional red-berry and plum flavors. On the finish, vanilla and cocoa flavors create a good ending. Drink now.
Deep ruby. Pungent aromas of dried cherry, blackberry and musky herbs, with a smoky nuance building in the glass. Dry and precise in the mouth, offering smoky cherry and licorice flavors and a hint of bitter chocolate. Dusty tannins shape the smoky finish, which shows good clarity and decent persistence.
The black cherry, plum, toast and tobacco flavors show good depth in this polished red. The tannins are firm, but remain well-integrated and balanced with the acidity, segueing pleasantly into a sanguine finish. Tempranillo and Garnacha. Drink now through 2017.
