Marqués de Cáceres Crianza 2011
Pretty coral-pink colour that conveys this wine's personality and vibrant flavours. An appealing rosé for palates on the lookout for a lively, refreshing style with a hint of raspberry/strawberry fruit and silky smooth sensations in the mouth. Elegant and versatile, this rosé stands out above the rest to add a touch of colour and charm to any occasion.
The name of this wine. Marques de Caceres was lent by D. Vicente Noguera y Espinosa de los Monteros. Today, he has been succeeded by his son D. Juan Noguera Merle, a worthy representative of the Marquisate which was granted in the XVIII century to his ancestor Juan Ambrosio Garcia de Caceres y Montemayor, a Captain of the Royal Armada for war merits.
Editorial Reviews for Marqués de Cáceres Crianza
Very fruity on the nose with notes of watermelon, strawberry and raspberry fruit, framed with a hint of cream. Soft and a bit chewy in the mouth, this is a fairly substantial rosé with chewy red fruits that lean toward the wild/black cherry end of the spectrum, flecked with spice and leathery nuances on the back end and through the modest, zesty finish. Plenty of acidity here and a nice hint of tannin helps cleanse the palate. 86pts
Crisp herbal white wine. Works well with fish.
This is a 2011 Viura from Rioja, Spain. Light yellow straw in color. Fruit hints of pear and grapefruit with a hint of minerality. A mid-finish on the palette and crisp acidity. The time for this wine is now until 2018. Best served chilled to 45 degrees, and served with a seafood paella.
Bright, dark ruby colour. Attractive, intense bouquet of raspberries and cherries with vanilla notes and a touch of spice. Nice, refreshingly ripe fruit in the mouth with delicious tannins that confer good body and complexity. Rich and pleasant on tasting, its smooth texture charms the palate with long-lasting flavours. An elegant wine. -The Winery

Cheers to one of Riojarsquo;s most basic yet consistent white wines. Minerally and crystalline on the nose, with dusty apple, melon and stony aromas, this Viura is fresh, dry and average in weight. It tastes of papaya and apple, finishing dry and clean.
Bright straw. Fresh citrus and orchard fruits on the nose and in the mouth. Clean and racy but modestly concentrated, finishing with firm bite and lingering tangy fruit.
This medium-sweet wine smells like honeysuckle, peaches and melons. A perfect accompaniment to spicy fare.
Bright pink. Scents and flavors of candied red fruits and orange peel, with subtle spiciness and good energy. Dry, precise rose with good finishing cut and a slight bitter edge.
Pink in color, this has fresh, clean aromas of stone fruits. Feels medium to full, with red licorice, sweet baking-spice and raspberry flavors. Quick, round and solid on the finish, which lingers for quite some time. A fine summer sipper.
This Rioja-based winery’s first effort with Albariño is perfectly good, with aromas of peach and fleshy melon. The palate is tangy and linear in feel, with citrus and green fruit flavors. Turns sharp and citric on the finish.
Light gold. Fresh pear and orange on the nose, with quinine and floral nuances and a hint of white pepper. Juicy and a touch warm on the palate, which offers ripe citrus fruit and bitter pear skin flavors. Finishes dry and crisp, with good energy and lingering spiciness.
