Markus Molitor Riesling Spätlese Haus Klosterberg 2007

Member Review by fooie:

When I sip this excellent spätlese I taste GRAPE, the lucious, sweet-tart goodness of perfectly ripe fruit. This is a sweet wine to be sure, but like any good riesling, has enough acid to make it a joy to the palate. If the German vintner's highest calling is to preserve and enhance the taste of this lovely fruit, as I believe it is, this is an extremely successful wine. There are other flavors here, a little metallic steel from the vats perhaps, and subtleties I'm not equipped to describe, but if you're preference in apples runs towards the tart-sweet Pink Ladies and Winesaps, this wine is for you.

In addition, around 20.000 bottles of sparkling wine (Sekt) are produced at the estate. Read less
