Markus Huber Gelber Muskateller 2011

Winemaker's Notes:

"A sort typical fragrance of balm and mandarin rinds. Fresh, clear and very balanced on the palate. Very animating due to a nice combination of minerality, lively acid and sweet fruitiness. Perfect choice as an aperitif; goes well with salads; best with chicken and turkey meat; perfect choice with asparagus." -Winery

"Gelber Muskateller is a yellow skinned version of Muscat a Petits Grains, the oldest type of Muscat and one of the oldest grapes known, but plantings account for only 0.9% of the total grapes grown in Austria. This is from a southeast facing slope with rich loess soil. Vinification starts when the grapes are crushed and left for 4 hours of skin contact and are fermented in stainless steel." -Importer
