Vintage: 2007 07/08/2010

My friend, with whom I had a bottle of this at Beretta last night, said that he's been to this winery, and that this wine "tastes like the air on the Amalfi coast." I can see that. It's dry, but with body; it's rich yet not cloying; it's not sweet without being mineraly. I handed a glass to an Australian friend who said it had a tang; I don't disagree. The best handling of a pinot grigio I've seen yet -- usually they're too sweet for me, but this one was, oh, just swooningly delicious.
