Food Pairings for Marietta Zinfandel Alexander Valley
This is a workmanlike wine of reasonable price.
My favorite wine by far.
What's New in Booze - 9.0 out of 10 This years blend is predominately Zinfandel with Petite Sirah, Old Vine Carignan and a slight touch of Cabernet Sauvignon. Old Vine Red Lot 49 is somewhat of a culmination of the best attributes of Lot 47 and 48. Highlighting the structure and maturity of Lot 47, and the fruit forward Zinfandel blackberry, plum and spice qualities of Lot 48, Lot 49 is incredibly balanced, lush, supple on the palate with a round mouth-filling finish.
Just opened my first bottle of Lot 50 and it is awesome. As usual... This is, by far, my favorite red of any. The addition of the Mendocino Hill Syrah to this lot is perfect. Love it!
Awesome wine!!! Great wine for the price!! If you find it...buy it, it goes fast.
By far a family favorite. Not too sweet, just enough body, and so smooth! We never don't have it for a family function. It's always a great backup wine and should always be kept in the house, just in case!
External Reviews for Marietta Zinfandel Alexander Valley
High-lighted by bright and rich red berry fruit aromatics and flavors. The nose is full of raspberries, blackberries, black pepper, and brown spices with really high toned and immediate aromas jumping from the glass. The mouth feel is lush and viscous with ample acidity and tannin pulling through on the finish.
