Dark color. Nose with black pepper, raspberry and tobacco. JAMMY, full bodied with nice tannins. A chewy new world zin. Exactly what I was going for. Very mood dependent. Old world fans would not be interested. 89pts

Wine Tasting NotesA classic example of the Marietta winemaking style. Ripe jammyness, complimented by balanced soft tannins allow for a huge, "fruit-forward" style wine. This is a wine that will compliment a wide variety of foods ranging from spicy appetizers to prime cut steak to fresh fruit and cheese desserts. Aromatically, this wine offers a lush, ripe nose full of sweet raspberriers and black pepper complimented with hints of oak and earthy tar. It subsequently saturates the palate with raspberries, blackberries, and a touch of swet oak. A nice dollop of fruity tannin and black pepper spice hold and extend the flavors through to a "lip-smacking" finish.
