Winemaker's Notes:

Appellation: Alexander Valley Winemakers: Chris & Scot Bilbro Released: April 2011 Angeli Cuvee is a proprietary blend of Zinfandel, Petite Sirah, and Carignane that we’ve been making since the first vintages that we had fruit from our Alexander Valley ranch and home. The wine is named for the family who previously owned our ranch for 104 years. The 2007 vintage yielded smaller berries than what we normally see in our vineyards. This translates to firm fruit tannin and density of flavors in the resulting wine, which is just what we like with our Angeli Cuvee. The aromas are deep and rich with layers of dark berry fruits, chocolate notes, brown spices, and a nice background of toasty oak. The flavors are concentrated and lush with very ample tannin and acidity to compliment the weighty mouth feel. This wine will evolve and age gracefully for up to at least 15 years. Grape Source: Alexander Valley, Sonoma County Color: Dark Ruby Oak aging: 24 months, primarily French oak Aging potential: up to 15 years
