Margerum Pinot Gris Santa Barbara County Alisos 2006
Notes on the Margerum Pinot Gris Alisos Santa Barbara County 2006 : NVWE NOTES: The aromas of this fresh and elegantly constructed Pinot Gris are restrained, but fruit dominated, as Crenshaw melon and preserved lemon sit above a firm mineral backdrop and a touch of green herbs. The mid-palate flavors show a gentle but persistent note of flint, tied to preserved lemon and traces of candied apricot and watermelon. The finish is sleek and lingering, with mineral dryness firming the otherwise mouth-coating, if slightly low-key fruit. This is a lovely and refreshing wine, built for service with crab, sole or other dishes where the wine needs to harmonize rather than overpower. 556 six packs produced.MARGERUM PINOT GRIS ALISOS SANTA BARBARA COUNTY 2006
We are a small producer of Syrah, a Rhone style blend called M5, Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Gris, and a few other varietals. Our grapes are purchased from the finest growers in Santa Barbara County. In addition, we are beginning to import a few exceptional wines we have found in our travels to the wine regions of Italy and France.
