Marengo Barolo Vecchie Vigne Brunate 2008
External Reviews for Marengo Barolo Vecchie Vigne Brunate
Marco Marengo is privileged to own parcels in the Brunate vineyard, one of the most highly touted in Barolo. He is a modernist who makes wines that are approachable young with lots of forward, dark cherry fruit and spicey oak. However, this incredibly concentrated old vine bottling should age elegantly over the next two decades. Marego is thought to be one of the top producers in La Morra and, indeed, his wines have been very favorably reviewed by Parker, especially his 2004s, which was a very successful vintage in Piedmont.
