The history of the Marenco family is made of passion and of vineyards, of a bound with the land and with the territory. The Marenco family has always been involved in agriculture and in wine growing. Mr. Giuseppe Marenco started the evolution of the activity. He passed from the idea of the growing and of the selling of the grapes to the idea of the wine making and of the wine selling. Little by little, he supported his father's small estate (placed in Bagnario Valley - a very important zone for the production of the Moscato grapes) by other estates and other farms, all placed in a very good position (in the Strevi territory and in the bordering territories), reaching the present 80 hectares (of which 65 hectares of vineyards). Today Michela with her husband Giovanni Costa, Doretta and Patrizia (oenologist), the three daughters of Giuseppe run the activity. With the help of specialized agronomes, they cultivate the traditional plantations by respecting the soil and the vines conscious that it is the only way to support the quality of grapes and therefore obtain excellent wine. The grapes are exclusively picked up by hand, in order to select the best ones and to preserve all their characteristics. That is the starting point to obtain great wines. The cellar, thanks to remarkable and recent investments, is rich in modern machineries, which allow the oenologist to work appropriately, from the soft pressing of grapes to the control of the temperatures of fermentation, to the refining of the wines, also by using the "barriques", to the bottling in a sterile surrounding, in order to keep all the wine qualities.
