Marconi Dasole Verdicchio Dei Castelli di Jesi Classico 2012

Winemaker's Notes:

Winery Tasting Notes "DaSole Verdicchio is produced from vineyards in the oldest and most traditional section of the Castelli di Jesi appellation on the Northern slopes of the Misa river, planted at 100 meters above sea level. DaSole Verdicchio captures Verdicchio’s hallmark minerality, brisk acidity and citrus and tropical fruit aromas." About Da Sole Da Sole is a dialect word used by winegrowers in the March to indicate the place where the sun rises. Da Sole wines hail from the sun-soaked hillsides of the region positioned between the snow covered Apennines to the west and the Adriatic Sea to the east and express the influences of both the salty sea breezes and the brisk mountain winds. "Holding vineyards as varied as the geography in which they lie, [Angela Velenosi's] portfolio is a confluence of diverse terroirs, varieties and cultures, unified under the maritime climate and her will to succeed. To walk these vineyards, one would begin at the ocean and climb high into the hills. By embracing the bounty of the Marche’s growing regions, its varieties and its people, Angela has succeeded in driving Velenosi beyond the Marche, beyond Italy and onto the world stage." - Importer's Notes
