Marchesi di Gresy is an 88 acre winery made up of four estates situated in the Langhe and Monferrto. In the late 1960's, owner Alberto di Gresy decided that he no longer wanted to continue selling his families grapes to other producers, so in 1973, he began producing his own wine. The Marchesi di Gresy winery is superbly positioned in the prestigious Martinenga cru in Barbaresco, one of the most famous vineyards in the zone. This Nebbiolo Martinenga boasts a bright red colour with refections of violet. It has an intense and persistent nose, with notes of prune, black cherry and raspberry. The palate is harmonious and balanced with a lingering aftertaste and firm tannins. this wine serves as a perfect accompaniment to red meat and white meat dishes.
