Marchesi di Barolo Dolcetto Dolcetto d'Alba Madonna di Como 2006
Very fresh if jammy, a bit toast, wood spice, grape spice fruit, a touch peppery. Clean and lean, really not too much interesting going on, upright, narrow, lean, boring, bitter. (80-82pts)Add winemaker's notes
RiceSelect's fragrant Jasmati® is blended with eggs, milk and fall's favorite spices, cinnamon and nutmeg, to create a delicious rice pudding, which is layered on top of fluffy cream cheese and abuttery pecan crust. Pairs well with a bold, tawny port with flavors of dried fruits, nuts, and spices.

Nice Wine Nothing spectecular.
Just had a bottle of this last night and it was magnificent! Smooth body immediately upon opening. Hints of cherry were easily detectable. The finish kept me wanting more! Absolutely delicious!

Purpurrote Farbe, frisches und fruchtiges Bouquet mit Noten von Vanille und gerösteten Haselnüssen, im Gaumen kräftig und warm, schöner Abgang.
Marchesi di Barolo is one of the great names in Piedmontese winemaking. This lovely Gavi has a tenuous straw-yellow color with bright green reflections on the rim of the glass. On the nose, the aromas are intense and refined, fruity and flowery with scents of golden apples, pear, almond and chamomile. Hints of golden apples, refreshing honeydew melon and citrus zest blend perfectly on the palate. The finish is harmonious and persistent. Elegantly dry, this delicious Gavi is an ideal choice with steamed fish, pasta primavera or fried chicken.
Purpurrote Farbe, mit Düften nach wilden Beeren und Cassis, im Gaumen ausgeglichen und kräftig, reich.
Garnet-red in color with ruby reflections. An intense odor with clean scents of vanilla, roasted hazelnuts, licorice and spices. Full, elegant, full-bodied and austere flavor with recurring hints of the olfactory sensations. Pleasant touch of tar and oaky notes in perfect equilibrium.
Fruchtiger Duft und ein leichter Mandelton, körperreich und angenehm harmonisch im Geschmack.
Wine & Spirits ReviewThe plump cherry and blackberry flavors in this wine are held firm by a bristling acidity. It feels long and fine, the fruit flavors giving way to a savory, stony finish. It's a hefty '05 to decant for a grilled steak.Wine Tasting NotesCharming, with hints of woodland berries and appealing vanilla overtones. Lively, Full-bodied and well-rounded.
