What to Expect

Nebbiolo is a fickle grape famed as much for its pale appearance as for its tannic character and produces some of the most perfumed and richly flavored wines. Though generally only medium-bodied, the wines possess rose and anise scented aromatics and deep flavors of cherry, orange peel and subtle green herb tones.

Editorial Reviews

slightly cloudy with less depth and delicacy than the 67. less VA on the nose which starts off with an intense pure pine balsam profile, sandy and spicy as well with a base of boullion, less complex, lurking floral note never gets past the mint which turns wintergreen as the boullion devolves into a more vegetal profile recaling turnips in a root cellar. Decidely softer and voluptuously roung compared to the 67, very complete in the mouth with more nettle and spice than fruit, lovely feathered mouthfeel. Distinctly different that the other wines here though while considered on it's own merits a success.
