Marcarini 2001

Winemaker's Notes:

Marcarini's 2001 Barolo La Serra a rich ruby, is darker in color than theBrunate. It displays an intriguing nose of flowers, sweet fruit, menthol androasted coffee beans. There is good follow through onto the palate which isendowed with plenty of ripe sweet fruit and tar flavors, showing the moreaggressive tannins that are the hallmark of this site. Suggested Recipe Pairing presented by
Layered Rice Pudding

RiceSelect's fragrant Jasmati® is blended with eggs, milk and fall's favorite spices, cinnamon and nutmeg, to create a delicious rice pudding, which is layered on top of fluffy cream cheese and abuttery pecan crust. Pairs well with a bold, tawny port with flavors of dried fruits, nuts, and spices.
