Wonderfully aromatic and pure, with fresh flowers and raspberries on the nose. Full-bodied, with supersilky tannins and a long finish. Slightly linear but very clean and focused. This is terrific. Best after 2008.

The 2000 Barolo Conca, fresher and more penetrating on the nose, spicier and riper as well, supplies more fruit on the palate, a broader and ampler consistence, and a larger sense of volume on the finish. With a bit more meat, the wine would step up in stature.
