The sun drenched hills of western Crete, gravelly soils, and gentle Mediterranean breezes combine to ripen this blend of Syrah, Grenache, Mourvèdre and Roussane. The result is a full-bodied, mellow red wine that features cherry, plum and earth flavors with captivating hints of the island’s wild herbs.

A surprising effort from Greece (a blend of Syrah, Grenache, Mourvandegrave;dre, in addition to 15% of the white wine grape, Roussanne), this is a soft, earthy, peppery, richly fruity wine with a Zinfandel-like character to its berry fruit. Medium-bodied and ripe, it is ideal for drinking over the next several years.
