Winemakers Notes

The 2002 Contado Mankas Cabernet Sauvignon is dominated by the presence and power of the fruit. Aromas of cherry and raspberry pleasantly fill out the enjoyable nose of this wine. Upon looking deeper, spicy aromas of clove and cassis, and subtle hints of sweet peppers can be found. Flavors of cherry and red fruit coupled with silky tannins make this a very refined and well balanced wine.

What to Expect

Cabenet Sauvignon: Originally of French origins, this versatile grape produces exceptional wines around the globe. It's usually medium to full bodied with a fine structure that supports black and red fruit flavors with typical notes of olive, chili and herbs that add complexity.
