What to Expect

The Rueda region of Spain produces blended white wines based on Verdejo. The wines tend to be crisp and light, relying on Verdejo to contribute a soft richness to the texture and lightly honied citrus and apple flavors to the finished wine.

Winemakers Notes

Very attractive greenish-straw yellow. A distinct aniseed and herbaceous nose with a powerful aroma of high intensity, where notes of down fruit are coming through (peaches and quinces) as well as some exotic notes such as pineapple and passion fruit. Elegant, fruity and slightly fatty mouth, where exotic notes come through again. It provides great acidity suggesting some contribution of carbonic maceration, which yields some freshness. A well-structured wine with a long, long lingering finish.
