Winemakers Notes
Our riserva is an expression of the best of the Super Tuscans; rare and expensive blends of traditional Italian varieties including Sangiovese and FREISA together with a high percentage of classic Bordeaux varieties; Cabernet Sauvignon , Merlot , and Cabernet Franc. The final blend is determined in the second spring after the vintage and then aged a further 3-4 months in new French oak prior to bottling at two years old. This wine is rich and spicy with toasty notes of oak, wild berries, black tea, sweet earth and forest dew. It will age for many years.

The body is great, it's like drinking velvet. It's been oaked perfectly and it is one of my favorites in the Santa Ynez region.
