Malivoire Chardonnay Niagara Peninsula Vqa Estate Bottled 2004

Member Review by Grape Juice:

Stemming from a blend of half barrel-aged and half unoaked Chardonnay, the 2004 vintage from Malivoire provided an interesting cross-section of characteristics. It showed, on one hand, subtle buttery, toasty, almond tones with banana fruit from the oaked portions, and a fresh citrus bloom of oranges and limes on the nose. The palate continues the well-balanced finesse between cream and tropical fruits, and citrus zing. A rounded touche bouche is complimented by a lemony finish, which helps to act as a foil for the flab.

Coconut Rice Sweet Potato Cheesecake

RiceSelect's creamy Arborio gets blended with sweet potato, coconut milk and vanilla to create this decadent cheesecake. Pairs well with Saunternes; a white dessert wine that has hints of coconut from aging in oak barrels.
