Malbec Finca Altamira A.ferrer 2004

External Review by Sam's Wine:

Dark and tight, but with a tremendous core of blackberry and boysenberry fruit, covered for now under dark chocolate, graphite and floral notes. Long, vivid finish has layers of fruit and a great minerally spine. Should be sleek and beautiful when it opens up fully. Best from 2007 through 2014.

Suggested Recipe Pairing presented by
Layered Rice Pudding

RiceSelect's fragrant Jasmati® is blended with eggs, milk and fall's favorite spices, cinnamon and nutmeg, to create a delicious rice pudding, which is layered on top of fluffy cream cheese and abuttery pecan crust. Pairs well with a bold, tawny port with flavors of dried fruits, nuts, and spices.
