A sparkling ruby beauty, a lovely entry-level old world Pinot Noir; a weeknight Burgundy for all comers. Pretty cherry blossoms & chalk on the nose, tart fruit, soft tannins, refreshing acidity throughout.
Maison Champy, Champs Pimont 2006 Ruby with brickish hues. light perfume and subtle smokiness, light fruitiness, very subtle. The tannins are soft and blend well with the alcohol. I thought it was very bright overall for an old world Pinot. The finish is dry and the soft smokiness lingers in the mouth. I had this with roast chicken and it was wonderful.
