Strong tannins which ease into Raspberry and light fruits--very easy to drink on a very hot night. Darker in color than a typical Bourgogne.

Light- to medium-bodied with vibrant cherry nutmeg and smoke. Excellent value from an amazing vintage.
Closed nose. Supple and velvety, elegant and seamless, with fine tannins; intense, spicy, and long.
The 2005 Bourgogne is amazingly dark in color, smells and tastes of raw blackberries and graphite, saturates the palate with formidable, bitter-sweet intensity of fruit, and finishes firmly with persistent flavors of blackberry and roasted meat.
Black cherry, plum and mineral notes are backed by vibrant acidity and firm tannins. Has moderate length. Needs food. Best from 2009 through 2013.
