Add your reviewArgentina delivers once again on value. A nice rich, well structured Cab. Cassis, coffee, vanilla, and spice dominate. The oak is significant and comes close to dominating the other flavors. It could use a touch more acidity for my taste but all in all is still a great wine (especially for $15 bucks!)
I really like this Argentinean CS! This has a very deep color to it. The nose is delicious, containing plum, fig and other fruits. There is a rich mouthfeel with many complex flvors including spice, plum and oak.
The 2009 Maipe Cabernet has a dark purple color and ripe berry aroma with minty accents. On the palate, this wine delivers plenty of fresh fruit and a youthful green edge that softens a bit with aeration. Though it has a prominent oak component, verging on too much for my taste, this wine is structured and lively enough that you should be able to tolerate the long, oaky finish.
