Main Street Cabernet Sauvignon 2011
To create our classic California Cabernet Sauvignon, we chose fruit influenced by the warmer weather of Lake and Santa Barbara Counties that give the wine its fruit forward characteristics, while the cooler climate of Monterey lends balance and acidity. It is a powerful wine that is deep, dense, and ripe with opulent flavors of black cherry, plum, and a hint of earthiness.
Food friendly and delicious, Main Street Wines are anything but ordinary. Our premium wines are made exclusively with grapes sourced from our estate vineyards located in prime appellations throughout California. Each wine represents a true expression of the varietal, and is a reflection of the care we put into every bottle. With five popular varietals, Main Street offers tremendous variety and quality at hometown prices.
Two and a half glasses
For $9 this was a good wine.
Bright, cherry cobbler nose with sweet confectioner's sugar. Palate is somewhat more rustic, brambly with black fruit notes, a bit of tar, medium acidity and a medium long finish.
Really herbal nose with notes of green tea, dark fruit, and bananas, with more bananas and coconut on the mouth. Pretty vegetative, in a good way.
It’s a drinkable wine, but not outstanding.
This wine was good but not remarkable.
92pts - Fantastic wine. Classic bold but beautiful Cabernet Sauvignon with the right balance of tannin, acidity, fruit, and earth.
