The Magnificent Wine Company C/O Precept Brands
This wine needs to breath. For a wine that is supposed to be an everyday wine I've been finding that allowing it to breath at least an hour is necessary. The following is my initial reaction. This is a juicy wine. There is a lot of fruit but it does not seem to have any structure. From the aroma that is floral and fruity I'd expect there to be some Viognier in the wine but I can't tell for sure. Finish is soft and medium length.
A day later ... berry and cola aromas. Ripe fruit on the palate and mild tannins. Medium finish ... gotta be some Viognier in this wine.
No. 72 on WS top 100 list of 2009. Smooth and lush. fairly rich and textured plum and blueberry. Very dark in the glass.
Nose opens to sour socks, watermellon, dark cherry, currie, caramel and apple. Palate is savory and diverse, includes rasberry, plum, tobacco, pepper, spice, crème brule, citrus, hickory smoke, and currie. After two hours, berry and cola become dominant in both nose and palette. Mild tannins and medium finish. Becomes less attractive with time. Open and drink in the first hour and a half.

Smooth polished and wide-open in texture with gorgeous plum and blueberry fruit getting added nuances from hints of Indian spices. The finish lingers effortlessly. WS.
