The MadFish range of fine West Australian wines are produced from fruit grown in the cool South-West region. This is spectacular country dominated by majestic karri trees with marron filled rivers and nearby white beaches, pounded by surf. Our story begins in the far southern reaches of Western Australia where 15km west of the quiet coastal town of Denmark is the picturesque Madfish Bay. According to local folklore, the bay's tranquility is broken when the two tides meet. The fish, confused by this phenomenon, can be observed leaping into the air as if in a complete state of madness! Drinking very well now and will develop complex aging characters of rich earth, leather and forest floor over the next 5 years.Mad Fish is part of Western Australia s largest family owned and operated boutique winery. They enjoy elevated vineyard sites, in the iconic Great Southern wine region and operate on a vision of crafting outstanding handcrafted wines with an uncompromising commitment to qualityGrapes: 100% ShirazRegion: Australia / Western Australia / Great SouthernMaker: Janice McDonaldNotes: A rich, dark, cherry red wine with great colour density. The wine displays aromas of black pepper spice, ripe plum compote, five spice powder and toasty oak. This full-bodied wine is driven by concentrated fruit flavours of chocolate and black cherries, subtle savoury textures and fine, soft tannins.Serve: At 16-18c with slow-roasted pork with juniper berry glazeABV: 14.5%Suitable for Vegetarians

Weingut: Mad Fish Fine WinesLand: AustralienRegion: Margaret RiverRebsorte: ShirazInhalt: 0,75 lAlkoholgehalt: 14 Vol.%Restsüße: trockenLagerfähigkeit: 3 bis 5 JahreFassreife: 12 Monate in Barriques gereiftEmpfohlene Serviertemperatur: 14 bis 16°CAuszeichnungen:* Mundus Vini Gold* 88 Points - Josh Raynolds, Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar* 90 Points - Jamie Goode, www.wineanorak.com Rotwein > Australien > Margaret River
