Macmurray Ranch Sonoma Coast Pinot Gris 2007
Wine Tasting Notes MacMurray Ranch Sonoma Coast Pinot Gris possesses an expressive fruit-forward character, exhibiting rich aromas of fig and white peach. The bright aromas and complex varietal characters of citrus and elements of spice add both weight and interest to the wine. The flavors of peach, spicy pear and citrus are melded together in a rich core, resulting in a round mouthfeel which compliments it crisp, clean finish.
I liked this a lot. It's got aromas of ripe Elberta peach and honeysuckle. Flavors of melon and peach aren't flabby, there's s till a very nice core of acidity in this wine. Spicy finish. Definitely not an old world bottling, this would be delicious with spicy food.
I had this wine with a wonderful dinner last summer and have been on the lookout for it ever since. It pairs very nicely with summer foods.
Very fruity, almost candyesque, but something is up with the finish....don't really like it.
