Wine Tasting Notes This is a classic Russian River Valley Pinot Noir, with concentrated fruit flavors of deep black cherry complemented by subtle oak to add richness and depth on the finish. The secondary notes hint at the subtle spice, mushroom, forest floor or earthy notes. This wine would pair well with lamb, Pacific Northwest Salmon and mushroom risotto.
I'm more inclined to a full-bodied zinfandel or cab than PN which I normally find a bit weak and wishy-washy. However I loved this one for its rich cherry fruit and slightly sweet spice undertone. Really pleasant lingering finish that left the same feeling as cloves after a bite of apple pie.

Mild nose with delicate floral perfume, rose, faint cherry and red berries, blackberry, clay, white pepper, vanilla, and spice. Heat of spice greets first taste, followed by cherry and floral notes, blackberry undertones, cherry pops, clay, and more spice with slight pepper and vanilla on fairly short finish. Not a powerful or complex wine -- indistinctive.
This Mac Murray pinot noir is a lot of wine for the price. A wine I would enjoy over and over again.

This was a Pinot we liked a couple vintages ago, (2004?), but have since stayed away after hearing it was taken over by Gallo. We braved a 2006 last night and we were not disappointed. This is a good everyday Pinot with flavors of cherry, cranberry and clove spice. A.

A real bargain with its combination of great pinot fruit and cool weather winemaking; the nose exhibits cherry, strawberry, with high tone spicy notes; on the palate, the weight and fruit is balanced by acidity and elegance; medium-long finish, with the flavors and focus maintaining their presence the entire time.
Riper in style that the Sonoma Coast wine, this is fat with saturated black raspberry and spice. Oak plays a role in the spiciness, bringing out a bay leaf edge, suggesting a dinner of roast pork with a dry rub of sage and bay.
This wine is a wonderful expression of the Central Coast’s cool micro-climates. It showcases flavors of bright cherries, cranberry and spices of clove, with sweet vanilla nuances lingering in a long finish. It pairs very well with a variety of different food such as roasted lamb, grilled salmon, and mixed vegetables.
The 2006 Central Coast growing season began with a cool, wet spring, which led to a late bud-break in March. A heat spike in July brought the ripening back on schedule and a cool August and September adding to the grape clusters' time on the vine. October saw another bump in temperature and by the middle of the month, one of the longest harvests on record was completed. The long hang-time and late ripening produced fruit with intense varietal flavors.
