What to Expect

Barbera is one of the classic Grapes of Italy's Piedmont region, though it is popular throughout much of Northwest Italy and has gained a following in California. Searing acidity has been a trait of Barbera though modern viticultural techniques and warmer regions have tamed the acidity, resulting in medium-bodied wines with bright, red fruit tones that feature hints of violets, earth and plum with just a whisper of tannin.

Winemakers Notes

"delicious" Lodi Appellation. Wine is an integral part of the Italian Heritage and Barbera is a traditional favorite. This rich, dark-hued wine, with its black fruit aromas and balanced tannin is a classic example of why Italian Varietals are extremely food-friendly wines.
