What to Expect

Chardonnay is America's most popular grape and with good reason. Made in styles that range from steely, mineral laced wines with crisp green apple fruit to wines that are buttery, rich, and laden with tropical fruits, there is a Chardonnay that will appeal to every palate. Chardonnay is most closely associated with France's Burgundy region and California's Northern valleys though it has proven successful around the globe.

Reviews

Crisp and quot;appley tartquot;, with a light sweetness appearing on the finish. A true taste sensation.

With a nose that is somewhat reminiscent of sauvignon blanc, the Early Wine's aromas move from citrus to kiwi to peach and minerals. The palate is crackling with acidity - balancing gentle sweetness - with flavors of green apple, peach, minerals and citrus. This is a wine that Austrian-born winemaker Helmut Gangl made in the style of a “ungwein” ('young wine') from his homeland. It works just as well here. Trust me.

Pale straw colored with a faint greenish tinge, the nose brings Granny Smith apple, lemon-lime, minerals and an almost-sauvignon blanc-like grassy-herbal note.Medium bodied and fresh, there's more citrus and green apple here with plenty of acidity and a reasonably long, lemon and wet stone finish. This is a wine best enjoyed on a hot summer day, or with light seafood preparations.
