The "Fine Oak" line of Macallan single malts have been matured in both traditional European oak sherry casks, and the very popular American oak bourbon casks, before being married together by the Whisky Maker, Robert Dalgarno. The use of two types of maturation casks allows Macallan to deliver a new style and flavor to their single malts. Color: Pale Straw. Nose: Complex, with hints of fruit and heather honey. Palate: Soft, with a maltiness, balanced with oak and fruit. Finish Lingering with hints of oak and fruit.

92 points from the Malt Advocate. Color: Rich Straw; Nose: Full aroma with hints of rose and cinnamon; Palate: Intense rich chocolates, with hints of orange and raisins; Finish: Lingering with chocolate, hints of orange and dried fruit. 96-100 PT. - CLASSIC / Highest Recommendation - Wine Enthusiast: "An initial bouquet of the dried yellow fruit found in muesli; later on, added scents of unsweetened coconut, honey, and light toffee beautifully complement the dried fruit aroma. The palate entry is chewy and honeyed; at midpalate the dried fruit, clover, and honey flavors meld delightfully with the oily, creamy texture. Concludes sensuously and regally." F. PAUL PACULT'S

This scotch is aged in both sherry and American bourbon casks, giving it a unique complexity. The whiskey is citrus fruity and slightly floral, with a hint of sweet smoke.
