M. Cosentino 'The Zin' 2008
The Lodi District is known for growing Californias best Zinfandel. THE ZIN is not only 100% Zinfandel, but all 100% Lodi of which 80% is from Old Vines. The wine is aged for 9 months, primarily in American and European oak, with some French oak barrels. The wine is unfined. Exotically rich, it is black fruit oriented with notes of black cherry, currants and blackberry spiced with black pepper.
RiceSelect's creamy Arborio gets blended with sweet potato, coconut milk and vanilla to create this decadent cheesecake. Pairs well with Saunternes; a white dessert wine that has hints of coconut from aging in oak barrels.
