M. Chapoutier St. Joseph Blanc les Granits 2008
"Exotically perfumed bouquet of tangerine, orange marmalade, lemon verbena and anise, with a strong mineral overtone. Nervy, sharply focused citrus and mineral flavors pack solid punch but come off almost weightless, with impressive purity and lift. A sexy floral note lingers on the long, sappy, spicy finish...91-93" IWC 01/10
The name CHAPOUTIER is present in the Rhône Valley since 1808. In 1879, the distant ancestor Polydor CHAPOUTIER was the first to begin to buy vines, thus moving from the status of wine-grower of an estate to that of a viticulturist, a wine producer and a businessman. The pioneering spirit was already present in the family.
