M. Chapoutier Red Rhone Blend Châteauneuf-du-Pape 2004

Winemaker's Notes:

Wine Spectator Review Slightly firm, with taut, sinewy tannins driving the black cherry, currant, tobacco and mineral notes. Hints of purple fruit and flowers on the focused finish. Drink now through 2014. Wine Tasting Notes Deep garnet red with purple highlights. Aromas of red fruit (raspberry and black currant) with a hint of licorice.

M. Chapoutier:
The name CHAPOUTIER is present in the Rhône Valley since 1808. In 1879, the distant ancestor Polydor CHAPOUTIER was the first to begin to buy vines, thus moving from the status of wine-grower of an estate to that of a viticulturist, a wine producer and a businessman. The pioneering spirit was already present in the family.
