M. Chapoutier:
The name CHAPOUTIER is present in the Rhône Valley since 1808. In 1879, the distant ancestor Polydor CHAPOUTIER was the first to begin to buy vines, thus moving from the status of wine-grower of an estate to that of a viticulturist, a wine producer and a businessman. The pioneering spirit was already present in the family.

COLOUR: pale, with green and yellow tints.NOSE: aromas of white blossom, lemons and exotic fruits. MOUTH: good balance between the freshness and roundness, with a great length. Perfect winter white M. Chapoutier Website

The ease of this wineandrsquo;s vibrant dark cherry fruit is directly counter to the firmness of the stones underneath, holding the wine in an intriguing tension. A blend of 80 percent grenache with syrah, it feels earthy and real, a pleasure to drink with duck and white beans.

The 2009 La Ciboise red displays straightforward, medium-bodied black cherry fruit intermixed with garrigue, licorice, and earth. It is an attractive wine that, like the Marius, could be served slightly chilled.

Silky and round, with dark plum, cherry and spice notes laced with judicious toast on the finish. Fresh and balanced. Grenache and Syrah. Drink now.
