M. Chapoutier Hermitage le Greffieux 2009

External Review by JJ Buckley Fine Wines:

The 2009 Ermitage Les Greffieux exhibits blackberry fruit intermixed with acacia flowers, barbecue smoke and a hint of subtle smoke. This is a full-bodied, unctuously textured, thick, juicy, monumental wine. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate. A Syrah wine from Rhone in France. 2009 Chapoutier Ermitage les Greffieux 750ml

M. Chapoutier:
The name CHAPOUTIER is present in the Rhône Valley since 1808. In 1879, the distant ancestor Polydor CHAPOUTIER was the first to begin to buy vines, thus moving from the status of wine-grower of an estate to that of a viticulturist, a wine producer and a businessman. The pioneering spirit was already present in the family.
