M. Chapoutier Condrieu 2004

Winemaker's Notes:

90-92 points Robert Parker: The dark ruby/purple-hued 2004 Crozes-Hermitage Les Varonniers exhibits a smoky perfume of herbs, olives, black cherries, licorice, and subtle oak. Elegant and finesse-styled without the power and concentration of the 2003, it is a classic Crozes to enjoy over the next 10-12 years. (Feb 2006)

M. Chapoutier:
The name CHAPOUTIER is present in the Rhône Valley since 1808. In 1879, the distant ancestor Polydor CHAPOUTIER was the first to begin to buy vines, thus moving from the status of wine-grower of an estate to that of a viticulturist, a wine producer and a businessman. The pioneering spirit was already present in the family.
