The pioneering spirit was already present in the family.

The 2012 Cote Rotie La Mordoree excels in the vintage with its perfumed aromatics and medium to full-bodied richness on the palate. Carrying plenty of mineral-laced black cherry and raspberry nuances intermixed with underbrush leather and bacon fat it possesses an understated elegance with superb purity of fruit fine tannin and a great finish. It should be at its best in a handful of years and evolve gracefully for 12-15 years or more. 93-95+ - Jeb Dunnuck Robert Parkers Wine Advocate.
Gritty and dry on the end. Transparent and lively. Sinewy. At the junction of Ctte Brune and Ctte Blonde. No Viognier. Almost brutally dry on the finish. Not as magic as their Ermitages. 17/20 Jancis Robinson.

Juicy kirsch and blackberry fruit mingles with light toast and red licorice notes. Grenache and Syrah. Drink now.
This wine is garnet red in color. On the nose, aromas of red fruits, mainly morello cherries, and spices, like licorice and grey pepper. This wine has a great structure with firm and silky tannins.
Inky ruby. Sexy intensely perfumed aromas of blackberry cherry-cola and violet with allspice cola and olive nuances building with air. Sweet and penetrating in the mouth showing a seamless texture and vibrant dark berry compote and violet pastille flavors. Finishes with excellent energy and focus leaving cola and smoky mineral notes behind. Stephen Tanzers IWC.
Showing more richness and depth, the 2012 Cotes du Rhone Belleruche Rouge possesses classic Southern Rhone notes of black cherries, spice and background earthiness to go with a medium-bodied, fruit-loaded profile on the palate. It too should be consumed over the coming couple of years and offers high quality for not much buck. Drink now–2015.
