M. Chapoutier Bila Haut l'Esquerda 2012

Winemaker's Notes:

Color: The color is intense, deep and steady. Nose: It shows maturity with aromas of black fruits and warm spices. We find the soils of origin are revealed with floral notes (violet) which are lightly smoky. We can find the same aromatic notes on the Northern Côtes du-Rhône soils, which are the birthplace of the Syrah. Mouth: The attack is both supple and powerful. Tannins are at the same time powerful and tight. The finale is fresh without any heaviness.

M. Chapoutier:
The name CHAPOUTIER is present in the Rhône Valley since 1808. In 1879, the distant ancestor Polydor CHAPOUTIER was the first to begin to buy vines, thus moving from the status of wine-grower of an estate to that of a viticulturist, a wine producer and a businessman. The pioneering spirit was already present in the family.
