M & R Asti Spumante Sparkling Wine NV
Martini & Rossi Asti is a fruity sparkling wine made from the finest 'Moscato Bianco' grapes grown in the heart of the prestigious Italian D.O.C.G. area. Top quality ripe grapes from a single variety are fermented once only. The fermentation is stopped at two thirds of its natural sugar potential. The resulting wine is low in alcohol, low in acidity, fresh, fruity and highly aromatic. This sparkling wine is a great partner to fruity desserts, pastry and ice cream. The Martini & Rossi Asti is an excellent social wine. It is best when served fairly cold. Once the bottle has been opened, it should be kept in a bucket with ice.
Very sweet. Had with relatives in SD on New Year's Eve '06.
I agree with the other review, this is a good sparkling white for a reasonable price. It is sweet enough for non-wine drinkers to enjoy.
oh wow,!! this sparkling wine has really put a smile on my face! the bubbles that procure the glass are of perfection!. one can really get lost in the flow of the small little air crafts. light straw colour, a delicious nose of yeasty sweet citrus, the taste is absolutely phenomenal!!! just unbelievable, light grapefruit astringency, sweet grape must, . this is every thing a wine should be!!! this is my new favourite wine, though i do have two even more prestigious bottles to try
Decent Spumante for the price. Perfect for New Years Eve on a budget
Sweet and decent for when you're in a pinch. Much better than the cheap brut sparkling wines generally available alongside it.
Best sparkling white for the price, hands down
sweet, fruity, apple, citrus good with sngel food cake and strawberries

MARTINI & ROSSI® Asti is crafted from 100% handpicked Moscato Bianco grapes, grown in Northern Italy. It is ranked D.O.C.G. (denomination of controlled and guaranteed origin), the highest classification granted to Italian wines. Its aroma will lure you in like a siren's song, boasting fruity and floral notes. Sparking on the tongue, the natural sweetness of the grapes comes through with full flavor and wonderful texture. Recommended for after dinner, pairing with cakes and other desserts or sweet fruits. Ideal for a sparkling cocktail. - Winery
Bright and fresh, though sweet and spicy. A wonderful aperitif or dessert wine--low in alcohol (7%), but high in flavor, with hints of ginger, peach, apricot, pear and vanilla notes.
